​Former Chief Operating Officer & Chief Compliance Officer at Covenant Multi-Family Office​

Brian W. Garrison

Mr. Brian Garrison is the former Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of Covenant Multifamily Offices, retiring in June 2017. 

In his leadership role with Covenant, Brian brought to bear four decades of leadership expertise to manage Covenant’s day-to-day business activities, staff and resources. A member of Covenant’s investment committee, Brian focused on fixed income strategies to meet the financial needs of Covenant’s clients. Mr. Garrison also serves on the board of SpawGlass, a general contracting firm with offices in Austin, Fort Worth, Golden Triangle, Houston, San Antonio, College Station and South Texas.

Prior to forming part of the initial Covenant team in early 2010, Brian was Senior Vice President and Investment Advisor for San Antonio-based Frost Bank’s wealth management services group from 2009 onward. Brian spent the last eleven years as Senior Investment Advisor with SMH Capital in Houston, where he worked with high net worth families. Before that, Brian was President of two community banking organizations in Fort Worth and the Houston area. 
Brian earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Economics from the University of Texas in Austin in 1967. He earned a Master of Business Administration in Marketing and Economics from The University of North Texas in 1968. He served in the US Army, receiving his honorable discharge in November 1970.
Brian currently serves on the Executive Committee and Board of the Texas Business Hall of Fame, where he serves as Vice President of Finance. At his church, Brian has served as Chairman of the Trustees, the Administrative Board, and various other committees. He served as President of the Rotary Club of Fort Worth, where he received the William B. Todd Service Above Self Award and served as President of the Brazosport Rotary Club in Lake Jackson. 
Mr. Garrison served as Chairman of the Institute for Certified Bankers, an affiliate of the American Bankers Association, where he guided the development of various certification programs for bankers. In addition, he served on the faculty of the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University.
Brian lives in San Antonio with his wife, Helen. He enjoys boating, collecting wine, and spending time with family and friends.
